Fashion House

Multi-Residential / Mixed-Use · 560 King St W, Toronto · 2013

A mid-rise in Toronto’s former garment and Fashion District: two bar-shaped elements set at 90 degrees — 11 and 12 storeys, 334 units, 26,291 m² — offset and stacked to respond to the Silver Plate heritage building.

The red curtain exterior references the garment trade that once defined the street. Young Toronto fashion designers were commissioned to create floor-by-floor lobby art, and a rooftop infinity pool overlooks King West. Developed by Freed Developments.
